Пошаговая инструкция по созданию точной копии Аудио CD диска.

1. Изготовление 100% точного имиджа.

1.1. Поскольку речь идёт об обмене музыкой в lossless виде, цифра с аудиодиска должна быть снята не просто так, чтобы не было слышно глюков, а так, чтобы она до последнего бита соответствовала тому, что есть на диске. Иначе не вижу вообще смысла возиться с APE'ами. Поэтому сначала немного о настройке EAC'а. Просто перечислю вещи, которые очень желательно настроить именно так:

[*] Fill up missing offset samples with silence
[ ] No use of null samples for CRC calculations
[ ] Delete leading and trailing silent blocks

Error recovery quality нужно установить на High - при ошибках чтения и синхронизации скорость считывания будет уменьшаться.

[*] Retrieve UPC/ISRC codes in CUE sheet generation - Эта галочка ставится, если привод поддерживает gap Detection method A (об этом дальше), иначе не ставится.

[ ] Normalize - Никогда и ни при каких обстоятельствах вообще не используем нормализацию при граблении. Нормализация в грабберах была задумана для приведения треков к одному уровню громкости, но на деле она либо не работает, либо приводит к совершенно обратному. К тому же изготовление lossless копии диска и нормализация - самый настоящий оксюморон.

[*] Installed external ASPI interface - Понятно, что для этого должен быть установлен ASPI. Если вы не знаете, что это такое, и где взять последнюю версию, то и не пытайтесь узнать. Можно получить (но, кстати, можно и не получить) много головной боли, поставив одну из последних версий. Лучше поставить ASPI версии, проверенной многими годами работы - 4.60. К сожалению, оригинальный инсталлер этой версии от Adaptec откажется устанавливать ASPI, если в системе не присутствует хотя бы один из программных или "железных" продуктов этой компании. Но к счастью существует несколько "пиратских" инсталлеров, лишённых этого "недостатка". Во-первых, это ]]>ForceASPI]]>. Во-вторых, Aspi4all, который можно найти ]]>тут]]>

Вставляем в привод любой музыкальный диск и нажимаем кнопку Detect Read Features. Если Accurate Stream был No - стараемся по возможности этот привод не использовать для грабленья.

[*] Secure mode with following drive features:
[?] Drive has 'Accurate Stream' feature - Выставляется в зависимости от того, что выдал тест при нажатии кнопки Detect Read Features.
[*] Drive caches audio data - Всегда ставим, игнорируя, что показал тест.
[ ] Drive is capable of Retrieving C2 error information - Убираем вне зависимости от того, что показал тест.

Drive read command - Вставляем в привод любой музыкальный диск и нажимаем кнопку Autodetect read command now

EAC > Drive Options > Offset / Speed

[*] Use read sample offset correction

Выставляем в поле ИНДИВИДУАЛЬНОЕ значение для своего привода. Ищем здесь модель своего привода, смотрим графу Sample Offset и вводим найденное число в поле.

[*] CD-Text Read capable drive

Gap/Index retrival method: Detection method A - Если при попытке Action > Detect Gaps выскакивает окошко Detection mode not possible for this drive, ставим Gap/Index retrival method: Detection method B.
Detection accuracy: Secure - Если при изготовлении очередного имиджа EAC зацикливается на определении одного из гапов/индексов, временно ставим Detection accuracy: Inaccurate. После того, как сграбим диск, опять возвращаем Secure.

1.2. Теперь самое время сделать имидж. Делаем: Action > Copy Image & Create CUE Sheet > Uncompressed. Оставляем предложенное имя для WAV файла (в нерусифицированной версии это будет CDImage.wav), зачем, должно стать понятным позже. Если у вас не очень крепкие нервы и вы после релиза обычно плохо спите, вскакиваете посреди ночи с мыслью, а вдруг что-то не так с релизом, вдруг там всё же имеются какие-то глюки, переходим к пункту 1.3. Хотя в принципе, если при рипе не было error corrections (не бегали красные квадратики), то можно считать, что с рипом всё хорошо.

Если вы все настроили правильно, то log файл должен быть примерно такого содержания:

2. Сжатие кодеком Monkey Audio.

Убедитесь что утилита работает в режиме компрессии (самая левая кнопка). Жмем пимпу Add files, добавляем в утилиту полученный ранее wav файл. Выставляем режим компрессии High (самое оптимальное сочетание размера файла/загрузки процессора при воспроизведении). Жмем пимпу Compress и ждем завершения процесса (около 1-2 минут). На выходе получаем ape файл.

Wav файл мы со спокойной душой можем теперь удалить.

По желанию можно также отсканить обложки от диска

3. Созерцание результата работы.

Если вы все сделали как я описал, то в результате мы видим следующую картину:

Фантомакс, а можно в этой теме спросить, что за формат SHN? Имеет ли он какие-либо преимущества/недостатки по сравнению с APE и FLAC?

Старый формат. Им до сих пор пользуются бутлегеры для обмена. По гибкости использования и результату APE и FLACу проигрывает.

Имхо, лучший на данный момент FLAC. Но чрезчур он глючный иногда бывает.

Shorten - обычный формат для сжатия аудио файлов без потерь. Имхо, APE тупо удобней.

"Молодые, шумные и синтетические. Всё это Dope Stars Inc., совершенно новый, грязный и злой наркотик, состоящий из неоновых огней и токийского разврата" - так начинается биография группы на их официальном сайте. Итальянский басист Дэрин Йевонде и его соотечественник клавишник Грэйс Холд познакомились в Хельсинки и тут же повстречали певца и гитариста Виктора Лава (My Sixth Shadow), который прибыл туда на металлический фестиваль. Появилась группа, сначала под именем Dead Girls Inc., а начиная с 2003 года, после принятия в состав в 2004 году ещё одного гитариста Александра Вега (также участник Klimt 1918), под нынешним названием Dope Stars Inc. Уже тогда им была ясна концепция группы: создать электро-песни на основе рок'н'ролла с текстами, полными высокотехнологических картин будущего. После 6 месяцев работы первый EP '10.000 Watts Of Artificial Pleasures' был готов, выпущен тиражом 1000 экз. и всё закрутилось. Тираж был раскуплен мгновенно через Интернет и они мгновенно получили отклики со всего мира. Так у Dope Stars Inc. появились фэн-клубы в Бразилии, Франции, Ирландии и Штатах, а ведь группа не выпустила тогда ни одного альбома! Немецкий лейбл Trisol (London After Midnight, L'Ame Immortelle, Christian Death, Cinema Strange, Sigue Sigue Sputnik, Samsas Traum, Kirlian Camera and Sopor Aeternus), первый услышавший о талантливой группе, немедленно подписал с ней договор и послал ребят записывать первый лонгплэй, для чего пригласили знаменитого продюсера Джона Фрайера, работавшего ранее с Nine Inch Nails, White Zombie, H.I.M., NIN, Depeche Mode, Cocteau Twins, Paradise Lost. За пульт же сел Томас Райнер (L'ame Immortelle). Своим названием 'Neuromance' альбом в большой степени обязан творчеству американского писателя Вилльяма Джибсона, считающегося отцом кибер-панка. Dope Stars Inc. не только помещают синтезаторы и струнные инструменты в одну плоскость, они делают их равноценными партнёрами. Обложку альбома украшает механическая красная роза, которую пронизывают кабели. Этот визуальный компонент здорово сочетается с имиджем группы. Итальянцы приняли участие в записи саундтрека к фильму 'Пила 2'. Специально для этой цели группа записала эксклюзивную версию своего хита "Make A Star".
